Police Investigate Interrupted Attempted North White Plains Home Burglary

Police are investigating an attempted burglary in North White Plains when a woman walked in and saw a middle-aged man in her home, investigators said.

The North Castle Police Department received a report of an unknown man who entered a Washington Avenue home shortly after 10:45 p.m. on Monday, March 19 without the permission of the homeowners.

According to police, the woman described the suspect as a white male in his 40s, who was balding with a clean shave. The suspect was wearing a blue or green jacket and tan pants at the time of the alleged attempted burglary.

Police said that after being approached, the suspect left the area immediately, in the direction of Virginia Road. The attempted burglary remains under investigation by detectives with the North Castle Police Department.
